Apply for those scholarships
Spring break is a perfect week for students to relax and catch up on things they may have been behind on. For example, applying for the Fall 2026 scholarships. The due date is approaching quickly, as the application is due April 3. However, don’t let the deadline scare you; it is a fairly easy process.
Once you fill out the application, MCC will take the time to match you to scholarships that fit your narrative. And then after that, it’s another simple process of just answering a few questions or writing a short paragraph on why those scholarships will help you. Take the couple of minutes it may take, and get the opportunity to earn some money to help put toward tuition.

Gallery features alumna’s work
MCC is hosting a new art exhibit from February 23 to March 27 featuring the photographs of Lucy Dolan.
Dolan earned her Associate of Arts at MCC before she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Illinois State University. She began her photography journey in Bloomington, IL, and worked throughout McHenry County as she built up her experience and practice.
The exhibit in the Epping Gallery follows the journey of her healing and having a healthier mindset. Each piece symbolizes the relationship she built with nature and her body to aid her recovery.
“Nature has been my guide, its cycle of growth, decay, and renewal mirroring my own transformation,” Dolan said. She reflects on her journey of wellness and getting over the struggles she faced by looking at them from a new perspective.
The exhibit details the past but also celebrates her future with achievements and how she has overcome struggles in her path. She invites anyone and everyone to reflect on their own path as they explore the gallery to connect to their healing journey. I The gallery is in the hallway across from MCC’s bookstore in Building B.
