Lacey Schaffter, a standout from Woodstock North High School, has earned the title of January’s Student-Athlete of the Month at MCC, showcasing her talents on the court as a key player for our Women’s basketball team. Sophomore Schaffter, 5-foot-6, excels as a guard for the Scots.
Assistant Coach Kent Jones commends Schaffter for her tenacity on defense and great perimeter shooting. Her consistent performance in practice and her unselfish play for her team makes her an invaluable asset.
Not only succeeding on the court, she has also demonstrated excellence in her academics, and is on track to win ISCC All-Academic honors once again. MCC Athletic Director, Karen Wiley, has stated that Schaffter embodies the ideal student athlete creating a possibly great future up ahead. Keep on going Lacey!
