Walmart has now spread out its Black Friday to multiple Fridays since the pandemic in 2020. According to blackfriday.com: “In 2020, 100 million consumers shopped online (up to 8% from 2019). Meanwhile, there was a huge drop in-person Black Friday shopping – 58.7 million hit the stores on Black Friday (down 37% from 2019).” In other words, there are less in person shoppers than there used to be.
