MCC’s own Sweet Scots Bakery has reopened. Every Wednesday and Thursday in the Scot Room (B178) starting at 9:30, the student-run bakery offers everything from brownies to donuts, from chili to salads until 1 p.m.

Chef Andrea Murray, an instructor in MCC’s culinary program is running the bakery. Murray has over 18 years of experience in food service and a degree from College of DuPage in culinary arts. She says she loves to teach because it combines her love of baking and education.

With a friendly and quaint environment, the staff invites you to join them for lunch, for their homemade daily specials. The bakery has its own router to provide high speed internet. The cafe is a great place to enjoy lunch, and work on assignments.

To find the weekly soups, and pastry specials you can visit the Sweet Scots Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sweetscots. For more information and the full menu go to www.mchenery.edu/sweets
