Puffs play puts a new spin on Potter

The Black Box Theatre at McHenry County College (MCC), is putting on a production of “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” by Matt Cox.

The witty play is almost a parody of the Harry Potter franchise. It features students and local people as part of the cast and crew.

The play will be featured at the Crystal Lake/Ridgewood Presbyterian Church, 8505 Church St., Crystal Lake, IL. The show’s running dates are Nov. 5-6, 12-14, and 18-20. The evening performances start at 7 p.m. However, the Nov. 14 performance starts at 2 p.m.

The cost of admission is $10 for all students, MCC employees, MCC alumni, seniors (65 and older), and veterans. For the general public the cost is $15. Seats are limited.
